I am pleased to announce that FixItHerself will now carry all the products from Gardener’s Supply. I have been working on getting this great online retailer for about six months.
The primary reason I wanted them is the specialty hand tools they carry. I’ll go through the major ones quickly:
Winged Weeder: This is my favorite garden hoe. In fact if you use one you have no use ever for any other kind of hoe. It weeds quickly and is very versitile. You can weed, edge, dig planting furrows with ease. I have had one of these for over 20 years and it is just as good today as the day I bought it.
Garden Spade: Garden spades usually come with short handles. My back hurts just thinking about using one. This spade has the correct cutting edge for “dug borders,” digging plants and other garden tasks and has a long handle!
Perennial Planter: When you are down on your knees trying to plant large perennials a small spade really comes in handy. This is a small spade is only 20 inches long and designed for planting when you are on your knees. It is a heirloom quality spade that looks as good hanging on your wall as it does out in the yard.
